Technological Features, of MTAR Ball Screws
High Efficiency
As the transmission of the axial force is by rolling contact and not by sliding friction. MTAR Ball Screws have an efficiency greater than 90%.

Smooth Operation
Substitution of rolling contact for the sliding metal to metal contact minimises starting friction, eliminates the stick slip tendency where a slow, smooth linear motion is required.

Wear & Life
The Ball rolling in the hardened groves reduce wear to minimum and thus increasing the life of the Ball Screw.

Re - Circulation Systems

MTAR Precision Ball Screws have two kinds of recirculation systems.
One is called the External recirculation type, in which the Balls are recirculated in the Ball return tube set up on the nut. As shown in Sketch No.1. Again the external system is classified as (I) Tubes inside the nut locating diameter and (II) Tubes outside the nut locating diameter.

   
Another design is called internal recirculation type, in which the balls make only one revolution of the screw shaft and the cjrcuit is closed. by a ball return cap/ deflector in the nut allowing the balls to cross over adjacent ball tracks. In this the deflectors are located inside the nut'.body. As shown in Sketch No.2

MTAR standard Ball nuts are classified as under Type of Nut :
W-Type : In this type of nut, Ball return tube is setup on the cut surface of the nut, so that the return tubes does not project outside the nut locating diameter.

O- Type : In this type of nut the thickness of the nut is kept as minimum as possible so that the ball return tube project from the outside diameter of the nut.

I-Type : This type of system makes use of the advantage of W & O type nuts. This reduces the diametric size to minimum and avoids unnecessry projections.

Number of Circuits The number of Ball return circuits of MTAR Ball Screws are classified as under :

Accuracy : MARC Ball Screws are made to achieve
the accuracy grades C1, C2, C3 & C5 as per JIS 81192 standard.

Accuracies for Lead : The accuracies for lead are specified on cumulative representative lead error and fluctuation in respect to the effective travelling distance of nut or to the effective length of the threaded portion of the screw shaft as well as on fluctuation in respect to 300 mm taken arbitarly within the effective length of threaded portion of the screw shaft and fluctuation in respect to one' revolution within the effective length of threaded portion.
